To Paris we go! To hunt down Horton and Xavier St. Cloud. Agent Renee Delaney gets there first, however. She knows where the barge has been moved, due to flooding. We meet Maurice, who is squatting in Mac's luxurious barge and drinking all the wine, and making a mess of the place; and we find that Maurice Has His Uses. Maurice can find Xavier's supplier of Golden Caviar, enabling Mac to track Xavier down and take his head. Nice Quickening. Joe kills the formerly dead Horton *again* temporarily. Mac proves to Agent Renee Delaney that she is not entirely repugnant to him by giving her a Big Kiss.
Questions:
1. Why did Horton and St. Cloud run off to Paris when they were hunting MacLeod in the first place? Wouldn't it have been easier for them to try again in Seacouver? Instead of going to an entirely different continent and hoping that he'd follow them so they could kill him there?
2. Do you suppose Maurice hung up that clothesline himself or was it already in place, left there the last time Duncan and Tessa left Paris?
3. Do you suppose they had to work around an existing flooding problem or did TPTB "cause" the river to flood, forcing the barge into another location and allowing for the introduction of Maurice, and showcasing the barge-seeking abilities of Agent Delaney?
4. Did Maurice use Duncan's hairbrush? Would that necessarily affect the quality of the ponytail for this episode? Could Maurice fit into Duncan's pants?
5. Why didn't Duncan insist upon beheading Horton? He had proof that Horton was at least quasi-Immortal.
