In flashback 1840, Immortal Nicholas Ward terrorizes Paris by making it appear that the murders he commits are the acts of a vampire. Duncan MacLeod manages to save the daughter of one of Ward's victims from marrying Ward, thereby saving her life; however, Ward escapes justice. In present day Paris, Ward is murdering again. This time Duncan saves the day, along with Ward's latest potential victim, and takes Ward's head.

1. This is one of the less memorable episodes of Highlander. What did I leave out, other than Duncan's assurances that he invests for the long term rather than the short term?
2. Are vampires truly less likely than Immortals? Discuss.
3. Wouldn't it have been really cool if the vampire had been a real vampire, and we could have gotten some Buffy/Angel action going?
4. Duncan's hair and pants had absolutely no bearing on this episode, or am I wrong?
