Karros, MacLeod's old comrade-in-arms, is leading freedom fighters in the Balkans. He and his entourage visit Seacouver. Mac is invited to join the cause, but Mac refuses. Charlie, however, is quite taken by Mara, a female freedom fighter. Karros is not averse to assassinating a priest to bring attention to his cause. In fact, he does everything he can to stop the peace process. The guy just really likes war. Mara discovers his machinations and Karros decides she is expendable, and tries to kill her. Once again, Duncan must fight an old friend who has gone down the wrong path. On the plus side, Charlie decides to accompany Mara when she returns to the Balkan battles. On the minus side, Dr Anne makes her first appearance in the series.
Questions:
1. Do we feel that Victor Paulus would have made a good addition to the ensemble for this episode? Since Darius and Grayson were both out of the picture by this time, Paulus and Karros would have been natural and worthy opposites.
2. Do we think that (inside) (in his heart of hearts) Mac was going "yippee!" when Charlie announced he was leaving to join Mara in the Balkans?
3. Wouldn't it have been really cool if Dr Anne had joined Charlie and Mara in the Balkans?
4. Weren't Duncan's pants really scrumptious in the Mexican Revolution? How 'bout that hair?
5. Does this episode make anyone's "Worst 10" list?
