Duncan MacLeod's life is just a constant case of deja vu all over again.
Back in WWII London, Duncan and current lady Diane get trapped underground and run out of air, and Diane breathes her last. Duncan, of course, lives to breathe again.
In Seacouver, the very pregnant Dr Anne gets involved in underground rescue efforts as explosions rip up the firmament. She, of course, goes into labor and Mac tries to rescue her before she ... uh ... dies. The baby is born and named Mary, after Duncan's mother, and Duncan gives Dr Anne that house he's been working on.
Questions:
1. Is Dr Anne just way too noble for words, or is she just too stupid to live? Elaborate.
2. Given the price of real estate, does it seem a profitable venture to have an affair with Duncan MacLeod, get knocked up by another man, refuse to settle in with Duncan after he agrees to raise your child as his own (breaking his heart), walk into a dangerous situation when you're at the falling foot of pregnancy, and have to have Duncan rescue you and deliver your child himself? Is this a reasonable course of events?
3. Does this episode lead to spiritual growth on the part of Duncan MacLeod? Is he, or is he not, just the most generous man on the face of the earth? Is it at all possible that he gave Anne the house as a kind of "neener, neener, see what I give women who dump me ... just think of what I would have given a woman who let me raise her kid"?
4. Are we insanely glad that the Dr Anne Arc is finally at an end?
5. Do we wonder at all if Duncan brought in people to inspect and repair damages made to that house during the Quickening in Leader of the Pack?
